Sofia Barrera, Opinion Editor
Sofia Barrera ‘25 is a senior at Carrollton entering her final year on The Beat as Opinion Editor. Last year, she earned a Best of SNO national award for her opinion piece on the United Nations and second place in the National English Honor Society-Harvard Crimson Student Journalism Contest for her work on preserving cultural diversity in Miami. Apart from being a student journalist, Sofia is president of both the Model UN team and the National Social Studies Honor Society.
